Abstract:
Twenty four upper ocean sub regions for the coast of British Columbia derived from expert knowledge, primary literature, satellite imagery, and oceanographic modelling. Previously referred to as "Oceanographic Regions".
Purpose:
Developed to provide an overview of the key upper ocean sub regions occuring along the Pacific Coast of British Columbia. To be used in a variety of marine planning initiatives.
Supplemental_Information:
Boundaries are considered to be approximate. A report detailing the data and methodology were reviewed in 2013. The report is available for download with the feature.
